As Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education is critically important, our partnership with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS helps to ignite a passion for STEM among students through our dynamic school outreach program, STEMXplore. Our mission is to spark curiosity, nurture talent, and highlight the essential skills needed for the future.
Through innovative teaching methods and hands-on learning, STEMXplore transforms science and math into exciting and enjoyable subjects. Students explore scientific concepts and data analytics to gain a profound understanding while having fun. By making STEM education engaging, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
STEM Forward
Connecting STEM learning with energy, oil and gas helps students understand how classroom concepts are applied in the industry. Through Energy4Me and Robotic Outreach and Advancement Readiness (ROAR), we provide learning resources and opportunities to introduce students to energy concepts, industry processes and robotics.
Hands-on activities allow students to apply STEM concepts while developing teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills. The initiative also provides insight into the role of STEM knowledge across the energy industry.
STEM Accelerator
Strengthening the foundations of Mathematics and Science is important to building future STEM talent. STEM Accelerator supports students from Form 1 to Form 5 with workshops and additional tuition through collaboration with the Education Department and community partners.
It also provides training and mentoring for teachers, together with home-learning toolkits for parents. These activities support STEM learning across the wider school community and aim to improve participation in STEM subjects.
Love My School
In our commitment to inclusive and equitable access to quality education, we collaborate with our long-term partner, the MyKasih Foundation. We support the cash bursary program for students in Sabah and Sarawak schools through the ‘Love My School’ initiative. Our assistance helps alleviate the financial burden on families and encourages student attendance by offering aid through daily meals, books, stationery, and learning materials.
In response to communities affected by floods and other emergencies in Sabah, we support relief and preparedness efforts through partnerships with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) Sabah and the MyKasih Foundation.
Accessibility to education and student welfare are important in supporting underserved communities in Sabah. Through our partnership with Starfish Foundation, ConocoPhillips supports education-related assistance for students, including tuition, food, transportation and hostel operations.
Recognizing the role of sport in supporting young people, we support football activities that promote teamwork, leadership, discipline and confidence. Through these activities, children are able to develop personal and interpersonal skills that extend beyond the playing field, contributing to the wellbeing and success of the communities where we live and work.
Recognizing the importance of accessible and quality healthcare, ConocoPhillips Malaysia contributed to the Women and Children’s Hospital Sabah (HWKKS) to support the purchase of essential medical equipment and facility upgrades. The contribution aims to strengthen healthcare services for women and children across Sabah by addressing identified needs in medical equipment and patient facilities.
