Community investment in Malaysia

Understanding the critical importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, we proudly partner with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS to ignite a passion for STEM among students through our dynamic school outreach program, STEMXplore. Our mission is to spark curiosity, nurture talent, and highlight the essential skills needed for the future.

Through innovative teaching methods and a hands-on approach to learning, STEMXplore transforms science and math into exciting and enjoyable subjects. Students dive deep into scientific concepts and learn data analytics to gain a profound understanding while having fun. By making STEM education engaging, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

In our commitment to inclusive and equitable access to quality education, we collaborate with our long-term partner, the MyKasih Foundation. We support the cash bursary program for students in Sabah and Sarawak schools through the ‘Love My School’ initiative. Our assistance helps alleviate the financial burden on families and encourages student attendance by offering aid through daily meals, books, stationery, and learning materials.

In our mission to tackle educational challenges in high-need schools and enrich classroom learning experiences, we proudly partner with Teach for Malaysia. This collaboration places dedicated teaching fellows in high-need schools in Sarawak, focusing on providing essential educational support and fostering community engagement.

Our efforts are particularly impactful in advancing indigenous and low-income communities, aligning with the government’s goals of developing talent and human capital. By supporting these teaching fellows, we help create a brighter future for students, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Over the years, we have actively supported scholarships in Petroleum Engineering and Geology at leading local universities, Universiti Malaya and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. These scholarships have empowered aspiring students, fostering excellence in these critical fields of study in support of the energy industry.  

We have helped to empower several communities in Sabah by providing clean water, sanitation, and solar electrification to households in remote areas. Our partnership with Global Peace significantly enhances the well-being and sustainability of these communities. 

Mangrove is part of a remarkable coastal ecosystem, providing critical habitats for a wide variety of species and offering essential services, including erosion protection. Rehabilitation efforts contribute to biodiversity conservation and enhance erosion control, benefiting the environment.
